FAQ
How do I create a meal plan?
Start a new plan in the “Plan” tab: choose a timeframe, enter how many people are eating and swipe through the suggestions to pick a recipe for each day. Portions can be changed for every meal. At the end, choose your shopping days and tick off what you already have at home.
Why is my shopping list split across several days?
Fresh food like meat, fish, bread or vegetables goes on the trip right before cooking; long-life items go on the first trip. You can change the shopping days in the shopping list menu under “Shopping days”.
How do I shop together with someone?
Go to Settings → Household → “Invite someone” and send the invitation. Once the other person has joined, all meal plans and shopping lists sync automatically. Items ticked off show up on the other devices within a few seconds. Everyone needs iCloud and the app.
How do I remove someone from the household?
The person who started the household can swipe left on someone in Settings → Household to remove them, or end the whole household with “Stop sharing”. Members can leave with “Leave household”. Plans already on a device stay there.
Household sync isn’t working.
Check that all devices are signed in to iCloud, have an internet connection, and that the invitation was accepted (Settings → Household no longer shows “Invited”). In Low Power Mode changes may arrive a little later; opening the shopping list fetches them right away.
How do I get new recipes?
New recipes arrive automatically, without an app update. You can also check right away in Settings → “Check for new recipes”. Create your own recipes in the “Recipes” tab with “+”.
How do I share a recipe or submit it for everyone?
Open a recipe and choose “Share recipe” in its menu to send it as a file via AirDrop, a messenger or mail. With “Submit to community” you can propose your own recipes and photos for the public catalog (CC0 license).
Are allergen and nutrition details reliable?
Nutrition values are estimates. Allergen information is only as good as the recipe data. If you have allergies, always check the ingredient list of the products you buy.
